Description
As the oldest microbrewery in Florida, we are committed to two great challenges: satisfying our thirst for a well-crafted brew, and fulfilling the need to contribute to a strong, vibrant community. Dunedin Brewery is founded on values that make these goals a reality; like yourself, we value the integrity to stand for a cause, the stability gained from working hard, and the experience of connecting with good people—our dedicated staff of beer enthusiasts or our loyal guests. There are plenty of things to do in Florida—even plenty of things to do in Tampa Bay—but we strive to be more than just a place and more than just a beer; we strive to meet the challenge of creating an amazing city and an amazing craft brew. Sláinte!

draft @ Dunedin. pours dark brown with nice beige head. Aroma of good roasted malts, with hints of coffee. Taste, smooth, thick, malty, some chocolate malts with lingering coffee. Simple yet loaded with good character. Do get some of the hops, though the profile remains filled with good roast / malts and some coffee in teh finish.

draft @ Wazoo 2009. pours clear amber, no head Aroma, hints of barrel / wood, some floral hop aroma. Taste, hop profile is present not overly bitter with the barrel not being too forward. Light citrus nose with caramel and malts. Blend of The Rock adds a nice extra boozy mouthfeel though the contact with the bourbon remains light to moderate followed by light caramel and crystal malts. Good beer, only wished it had a little more carbonation.

Tap @ Dunedin. Pours clear golden, thin white head. Pleasant floral hops with some malts. Pilsener malts, grainy mouthfeel with a bittersweet floral palate followed by some citric elements. Hops bitterness seemed a little too much for my taste buds. Did not have the sweetness I would usually expect from a Bohemian.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours clear gold with thin bright white head and a lasting foam ring. The mild aroma brings up sugary malts along with just noticeable grains and floral hops (or maybe it’s really what I expect to smell in the absence of aroma). The taste is fresh and crisp and has premium hot weather drinkability. I get a rush of grainy malts, floral and spice hops. It gets a modest pulse of a refreshing level of hop bitterness to midway and to the finish. Tasty summer brew.

Tap @ brewery. Pours amber, off white head. Aroma / taste, rye and malty scents and palate, sweet fruits, and good hop presence leaving a light bitter finish with citrus notes. The beer does keep some light enjoyable sweetness.

Bottled. A dark amber beer with a fast disappearing brown head. The aroma is sweet and acidic with notes of brettanomyces, smoke, fruit, and wood. The flavor is sweet with notes of smoke, brettanomyces, fruit, and wood, leading to a dry finish. Had it blind - my guess on a style was a thin smoked Flemmish sour - hmmm. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.
