Draft at the source. Cloudy yellow orange, thick white head, solid lacing. Aroma of lemon rind and sourdough bread. Taste of bitter pine. Nice.

Sampled from the tap at 2011 FOBAB. Poured a near black with a deep coffee brown head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma had a strong coffee note backed by roasted malts and dark grains. Flavor had bitter coffee with a bit of dark fruit, dark grains and roasted malts.

Sampled from the tap at 2011 FOBAB. Poured black with a dark brown head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma was full of dark grains with some raisin and a bit of backing barrel. Flavor had more barrel that combined with notes of raisin, dark grains and dark chocolate.

Sampled from the tap at 2011 FOBAB. Poured near black with a deep brown mahogany head. Aroma had a good amount of coffee with some sweet grains, toffee and a bit of barrel backing. Flavor had a dark grains with some vanilla and bourbon backing. Went down smoothly.

Sampled from the tap at 2011 FOBAB. Poured a deep brown with an earthy brown head that lasted throughout the beer. Aroma was full of dark grains with some sweet chocolate and a hint of rye. Flavor was similar with dark grains and sweet chocolate backed by a hint of bitter chocolate and rye.

Sampled from the bottle at 2011 FOBAB. Poured a hazy deep sap color with a yellowish brown that dissipated ot the edges. Aroma had a bit of spice with a hint of deep fruits with some backing grains and some barrel. Flavor was mainly grains with a bit of spice and a note of backing dark fruit and barrel note.

A dark brown ale with a thick mocha head. In aroma, a strange molassey malt with dark fruits and off notes, light ginger. In mouth, a smooth chocolate and molasses, a bit of licorice, light fruity esters, not bad. Bottle at FoBAB 2011.

A dark brown ale with a thin dark brown head. In aroma, a nice burned coffee, chocolate and funk, cherries, very nice. In mouth, a smooth roasted and vinous malt with molasses, soy sauce, smooth and complex. On tap at FoBAB 2011.
