Can on a Qantas flight. Utterly forgettable. Not unpleasant but nothing to praise either.

From a 375ml bottle on 24/9/2011 (at a wedding). Pours a clear yellow golden with a big head. Has a slight but generally unpleasant stale grainy aroma. There’s little to taste, with some sweetness and a tiny touch of hops evident at the start. Begins to approach undrinkable as it warms. A horrible experience.

Pours pale gold with a large, quickly fading head.Nose shows massive banana notes, as in artificial banana sweets, with orange peel and ginger underneath. There’s also a hint of cooked vegetables and lemon. The citrus and ginger is a bit over the top.Same story with the flavours, lots of ginger, artificial lemon and banana. Very little malt noticeable.Could use lots more carbonation.Very sweet stuff, seems to be one step away from a mixed drink. Seems to have a lemonade base rather than wheat beer...

Pretty average pilsener-like pale lager. Nothing really wrong with it although it’s a bit watery. But decent.

Bottle. Hazy straw with slight white head. Aroma is citrus (I thought lemon, but could be orange) and floral and quite pleasant. Light body with medium carbonation. The foretaste is subtle but pleasant and complex with orange, lemons and banana ester. This fades away to a flat, slightly bready finish with no bitterness. Overall it is unusual and fairly pleasant.

75 cL bottle. Pours hazy dark orange to brown with a small white head. Aroma is dark malty, oxidised and dry, Sweet caramelish and dry oxidised to wooden base flavoured. Light sweet caramelish finish. Way past prime I would assume.

Pours pale gold with a large head that quickly fades into a scum-like layer.Nose shows loads of sweet vegetal and rice notes, with some faint spicy hops in the background, followed later by some clean malt.Very little in the way of flavours, there’s some cardboardy cereal malt before a short-lived bitterness kicks in.Carbonation is too high.

Golden pour, small head that quickly fades to nothing.Aroma is very tame, with some cereal and a very faint hint of hops, and some skunk.Sweet sugary malt and corn makes up the taste. Very low bitterness.Light mouthfeel with huge carbonation.Boring, but does a good job at being inoffensive.
