22oz bottle shared by somebody? Sat around for a little less than 24 hours. Now is the best time for me to rate this. Despite 1/3 of the bottle sitting art room temperature for a day, it still poured with a small head. Very dark brown color bur looks black. I always worry about wine barrel aging due to infections but this is completely clear of that. Nothing in sight even close. Actually, makes me question if this is barrel aged. I do not get any "winey" characteristics. Aroma is strong, alcohol present but not offensive. Ash, dry malts, mild cocoa and chocolate on the nose.. Flavor is mild for the nose, well attenuated, not sweet. After taste has a dry moderately bitter malt. Hops are low. Roast is low, acidity moderate for style. Silky mouthfeel. Decent stuff, nothing that I dislike in the style but also nothing that that makes me want to buy it again. A but to dry and lingering in the aftertaste. Would actually want some more sweetness and less dry malt ending.

750 ml bottle. Pours a clear dark amber color with a medium white head. A big sweet fruity nose. The biggest aroma is berries. The flavor is dust, sweet apples, strawberries, some toast, bourbon for sure. Sour mash. Light sweetness throughout. Interesting. It works.
