On tap at Weissbrau, Koln, Germany, Saturday 29th March 2014 Pours very dark brown with a light beige head. A little smokey on the nose, smooth if a little thin in the mouth, soft carbonation, a little bit of sweet liquorice. This is ok nothing more nothing less. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov11 3.0

Tap at Weissbräu Koln 26/08/13. Clear yellow pour with a light and fluffy white head, some lace. Light wheat beer aroma, some yeast. Light grass hop. Crisp, light body medium dry finihs. Clean and blanced, pretty nice.

Tap at the brewpub in Koln 26/8/13. Chesnut brown / black colour big dense speckled cream head. Aroma is malty, subdued caramel, some nuts. Flavour is nutty soft roast. Low carb, sticky flabby palate. Some liquorice weird beer.

Tap at Weissbräu Koln 26/08/13. Aroma is light banana yeast esters and wheat. Cloudy orange colour thin white head. Low carbonation / flabby palate . Light orange peel. Bready malt. Pretty dull overall.

Draft at the source. Very dark maroon brown color, thick and massive beige ice cream cone head with great retention and solid lacing. Aroma of raw cocoa. Taste is burnt coffee, brownies. Very nice.

Tap at Weissbrau, Koln, 26/04/13. Dark mahogony brown/light black with a decent sized beige head. Nose is dark malts, light hops, liqourice, dark fruit, treacle toffee. Taste comprises dark toffee, dark malts, molases. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, smooth on the palate. Decent enough schwarz.

Tap at Weissbrau, Koln, 26/04/13. Listed as Weissbrau U-Weiss. Thanks to Roman for confirming this was the Pantaleons. Hazed pale golden with a good sized white head. Nose is pale malts, citrus, light caramel, touch of spice. Taste comprises orange, pale malts, light mineral notes, hint of caramel. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, dry finish. Ok kolsch, fairly middle of the road as the evening’s kolsch fest unravelled.
