Description
We are an East Vancouver craft brewery inspired by tradition and creativity, and go beyond the ordinary to celebrate that which is strange* and extraordinary. The beer we make is influenced both by old world traditions and West coast ingenuity as well as by seasonal ingredients. Our barrel programme promises unique aged beers, and we have a bit of a thing for sour beer.

On tap at Strange Fellows, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out fresh grass and dry cereal notes. Flavour is very crisp, with notes of fresh grassiness, crisp crackery malt and a lovely biting bitterness on the finish. True to style, with very high drinkability. Really nice pils.

On tap at Strange Fellows, pours black with a small brown head. Aroma brings out loads of roasted malt, a touch of peat and dry cocoa. Flavour is very dry, with roasted malt, some slight peat and a fair amount of hops that contribute astringency. Highly roasty overall. Good stuff, much better than the 2014 version.

Draft - Dark roast and some coca. Jet brown with a nice light brown head. Peaty smokey notes and lots of roast. Burnt maybe, but great for a smoky beer lover. Bit of bitterness and heat in the finish.

Draft - Lots of lacto cheesy norptes and strawberry. Cloudy pinkish orange with a creamy white head. Tart, cheesy and Berry with an acidic finish. Yeast has seriously changed this with a few weeks age. Still nice, but not a BW.Earlier Rating: 6/28/2015 Total Score: 3.7Draft - Cheesy, funky tart strawberry. Cloudy. Light pink with a white head. Strawberry, cheese, tart and acidity. No hint of the pepper. Interesting and weird, but nice.

On tap at Strange Fellows, pours a cloudy muddy amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out funky wild yeast upfront in full form, with some light fruitiness. Flavour is much the same, with lots of funk from the wild yeast upfront, a little bit of red berries, a touch of acidity, and a medium tartness. Quite complex, especially for a 4.5% beer. Really nice stuff.

On tap at Strange Fellows, pours a cloudy deep orangey brown with a small beige head. Nose is authentic for a dubbel, with a dark dried fruits, bready caramel malt, Belgian yeast and candied sugar. Flavour is similar, with notes of alcohol upfront, followed by toffee, burnt sugar and Belgian yeast. Good amount of sweetness here. A little hot, but it's quite complex and cohesive. Very nice stuff.

Thick haze, yellow-tan. Not much head. The aroma is spicy, with a nice grapefruit character. Light, orangey/tangerine character...such bright citrus. Really refreshing. Maybe a touch thin, and maybe itβs the bike ride talking but this is really refreshing.

Medium brown without much head. Aroma is gentle and a touch roasty. Body is light, itβs toasty and a bit crackery, kind of has a watery coffee character. Easy-drinking, though I might want more sweetness and lactose character.
