We are an East Vancouver craft brewery inspired by tradition and creativity, and go beyond the ordinary to celebrate that which is strange* and extraordinary. The beer we make is influenced both by old world traditions and West coast ingenuity as well as by seasonal ingredients. Our barrel programme promises unique aged beers, and we have a bit of a thing for sour beer.

Cloudy blond color, small head. Yeast aroma, a bit footy. Light and dry mouthfeel; the flavor is bready, doughy, and almost immediately a strong vegetables component appears; the yeast provides a light spicy note in the final.
Not very pleasant.

On tap at Strange Fellows, pours a cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out a mix of Belgian yeast and dry hopping. Flavour is quite dank and rough, with notes of floral dry hops, yeast and a fairly astringent finish. Not a cohesive blend of these two elements. Needs a lot of work. Not good.

On tap at Strange Fellows, pours a cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma is barely present, much less robust than Wit 1, with only some faint yeast. Flavour is muted and muffled - there really isn't a lot here, just some yessty and wheaty hints. This one also has the seltzer like quality on the finish. The worse of the two Wits.

On tap at Strange Fellows, pours a cloudy dark golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of Belgian yeast upfront, followed by some earthy notes and light wheat. Flavour is clean and refreshing, with notes of Belgian yeast, floral, and some muted citrus. There's a sort of seltzer quality on the finish that is a bit off-putting but this isn't too bad.

Dark brown. Aroma is like chestnuts in coal, roasting on a Chinese street corner, and the taste is cr�me brul�e topping, this isn’t to be confused with being really good - just distinctive. I find it thin overall, and without nuance.

Medium brown, fruity (apricot, blueberry) nose, with some dark malt coffeeish character. A little reminiscent of Ethiopian coffee, actually. Toasty, fruity, a little phenol.

Lightly hazy, sticky, plasticy, and this predominates. Has a decent bitterness, but I’m nit finding more than sticky malts and phenols, which isn’t to style or compelling.

Hazy, light amber. Smells good - fresh berries, orange, grapefruit, lavender...good stuff. Light body, lots of hops, maybe a bit too light but a nice refreshing ISA.

Light reddish-brown. Toasty nose with light brown sugar notes. Rich but sharp coffeeish, burnt malt taste. A bit thin, unrefined. More brash than bold.
