Hazy blond colour. Some aroma of malts and honey. Moderately sweet, light malt flavour, bit of cereals, not much hop going on.
Ok beer, old stile IPA, not much West Coast (no piney hops), not much East Coast (no juice, old style malt).

Amber colour and it has just a touch of haze. This has a fair bit of diacetyl in here. On the palate, same thing, and some overripe fruit as well. This isn't hitting for me, really. The malts aren't bad but that bit of butter is concerning.

330mL bottle, pours a clear golden with a medium white head. Aroma is quite yeasty, with lots of pithy stone fruit, gentle dank hops, and some chalk. Flavour is quite yeasty, with lots of chalky yeast, dank hops, earthy notes, and pithy stone fruit. A bit chaotic, with a rather chalky, yeast body. Not my favourite from these guys.

On tap at Pink Blossoms, pours an opaque cloudy orange with a medium white head. Aroma brings out earthy, piney hops, and caramely bready malt. Flavour is intense, with lots of booze, caramel malt, and piney hops. This is harsh, boozy and a bit too malty. It's too malty, very bitter, and quite boozy. Not quite convinced by this.

On tap at Pink Blossoms, pours a cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out bright citrus and piney hops upfront. Flavour is bright and juicy, with citrus hops, piney notes, and biscuity. Piney and juicy. Excellent.

On tap at Pink Blossoms, pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma brings out intense piney hops, wood, and robust roasted malt. Flavour follows accordingly, with intensely bitter but tastefully so piney hops, followed by wood, and roasted malt. Bone dry and full. Couldn't really ask for a better American stout. This is wonderful.

Flavour is really well-balanced, with a bitter, piney explosion of hops, a little citrus, and just enough biscuity malt to back. Wonderful use of the hops. This is a kickass IPA.
