From a 330ml bottle on 29/1/2016. Pours a medium golden with a medium head. Has a light floral, tropical, citrussy aroma. Starts with some biscuity malt, followed by sweet tropical and stone fruit (peach and pineapple). The bitterness is firm and dry, with a hint of harshness. Medium bodies with average carbonation. All up, a bit rough but not too bad at all.

The aroma brings out passionfruit, bread crumbs, honey, a little peach, some musk and a pinch of grapefruit. The grapefruit is strong on tasting, along with plenty of pine, pepper and some peach too. It’s a little thin though it has good length. A nice beer, but not a great one.

Bottle. Clear amber with an inch of pale beige head. Heady aroma of toffee, pine, lush tropical fruit, spices. Very sweet but clean, with toffee, resin, earthy mango. Lots of hop aromatics (mosaic or simcoe or both at a guess) but bitterness struggles a bit. A bit of citrus and pepper gradually come through at the end too. Just too sweet for me.

Pours amber with a small head.Noose shows biscuity malt alongside massive spicy, floral and herbal hops. Very clean.More Marris Otter-like biscuity malt as a flavour along with heaps of spicy, piny and herbal hops.Could use higher carbonation.

Bottle. Pale amber with a white head. Aroma of kumquats, passionfruit, gooseberry, a little honeyed hay. Fairly light bodied, slightly creamy with lowish carbonation. A little caramel and plenty of citrus and tropical flavours - grapefruit as well as kumquat, lime leaf, more passionfruit than gooseberry, some honeydew melon. Fairly bitter at the end. Seems as much NZ as Australian - that Sauv Blanc-y thing comes though in spite of what is presumably mostly Galaxy. Pretty good, certainly one of the hoppier Australian beers I’ve tried.
