Draught at Craft Beer Live 2014. This seems to be a collaboration with Chateau Kamiya. Dry, lemony nose, crackers and some sulfur. Cloudy gold with lace. Fruity, tangy lemon flavor, some grapefruit and still a touch of sulfur. Decent.

On tap at Craft Beer Live 2013. It poured with a nice cloudy gold and an ok head with a fairly bitter aroma. The taste wasn’t so nice, sort of sour & malty. Kind of a lactic body, not really palatable, bleh... the one big disappointment I had at the fest. I guess the recipe has gone downhill since KyotoLefty tried it...Not outright terrible but a bit off.

Sweet caramel and some vanilla‐like spice in the aroma. Flavour has sweet malt and artifical vanilla with caramel. A bit too sweet with all that vanilla, otherwise ok stuff.

Aroma is fresh with grain and some slightly sweet malt. Flavour feels a bit like bulk lager. It is a bit grainy and feels starchy. Sweet finish with corn and hops. Pretty basic and rather boring Kölsch.

Draught at Namba Craft Beer Live 2011. Nice citrus hop aroma, very grassy. Cloudy tea-like copper color. Nice and earthy flavor, very bitter, lots of grassy hops. Light, clean body. Malt character is a bit undefined, but a decent IPA overall. Hope they keep working on this one.

Draught at Craft Beer Live, Namba May 23, 2010. Very fruity, slightly buttery aroma, a bit of melon and a lot of peach or apricot. Reasonable. Very tangy, fruity flavor, peaches or melon, a little banana, slightly harsh bitterness at the end. It’s ok, but it’s a bit weird and lacking integration. Not bad. Interesting fruit.

Draught at the brewpub. Slightly dark gold color for the style, creamy head. Aroma of fruitys, honey, butter. Spicy, slightly sweet flavor; buttery, fruity. A bit too much butter and fruit for the style, but not bad. Nicely bitter finish. Good hopping, also more than usual for the style. Very dry finish. Pleasant enough though not fascinating.

Tap at the brewpub. Dark amber, cloudy, fine foamy head. Sweet aroma of caramel malt, butterscotch, slight roasting. Strong butterscotch and caramel flavor with a slight roasted feel. Slightly funky, almost of rancid butter. Dry finish. Too much butterscotch—out of balance. Ok, but a bit cloying, and got annoying through the pint.
