Clearish copper with a rich off white head. Light caramel and not much else. Light caramel malts and a light finish.

Clear gold with a rich white head. Nice grainy notes. Soft grains and a touch of honey.

Golden coloured, small white head. Aroma is grainy, light bitterness. Taste is ok, maybe more lager like than kolschy. Not so much creaminess. Wheaty and grainy. Dry. Preferred the Alt.

Tap at an Okonomiyaki place in Namba. Light brown amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is weak, bit of toffee and caramel. Not much else. Taste is similar, slight sweetness. Pretty much ok. Little bit fruity. Bit better than a macro but not much.

Draft at the brewpub. Black with a tan head. Aroma of dark malts, roast, caramel, light licorice and metallic notes. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Tap at the brewpub. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a short-lived light tan head. The aroma is roasty malt, light liquorice, charcoal, coffee, light cacao. The flavour is moderate to light sweet, with a dry roasty, charcoal, liqouirce palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.

Tap at the brewpub. Poured a clear golden colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is light gluey malt, corn, light hop. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a light, crisp, metallic, yeasty, light floral hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.
