Tap at the brewpub. Poured a slightly hazy medium amber with a big frothy white head. The aroma is malt, light toffee, buttery, light yeast, woody hop. The flavour is moderate bitter light sweet with a smooth, malty, light red berry fruit, woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.

Tap at Kitaoji Vivre’s Kyoto Craft Beer Picnic Event. Opaque orange with a little get beige head. The aroma is citrus , the taste yuzu zest and light malts. Not bad, as I continued drinking it I liked the graham maltiness more and more.

Tap at Kyoto Craft Beer Garden 2017 in Kitaoji Vivre. 300ml for 500 yen. First beer after work, a. ruddy brown with a beige head and biscuity caramel aroma. Medium bodied with a crisp nutty malt character. Not exciting but well made and to style in my opinion, ’twas refreshing I downed it fairly fast.

Not sure if this is the same or not, it seems to have been rebranded as Hoppy Baby sharky and is 5.2% It’s a good looking opaque gold with a dense soapy looking off-white head of foam. It’s got a delicious hop bouquet featuring zesty citrus with mild evergreen pine. The taste is an invigorating fresh pine bitterness with a bit of a bite to it and mint as well as ugh the citrus notes in the aftertaste. My favorite among the three beers I had at the Kyoto Craft Beer Garden though admittedly Tango Craft still has a ways to go

Tap at Beer Fes Osaka 2015. Pretty tan lace on a black beer. Creamy, roasty nose, chocolate, coffee, decent citrus hops. A bit sweet, quite hoppy flavor, bitter roast. Solid, light and very drinkable hoppy porter.

On tap at Craft Beer Live 2015. A deep black pour with a tan head. Th nose is cocoa powder. Med-light bodied with a super dry raspy finish. The taste is bitter toasted dark malts & toasted oats. Pretty good.

On tap at the Craft Beer Picnic. Dark Ale 5.5% pours a dark brown with a big creamy beige head. The aroma is a chalky woodsy almost tangy nuttiness with hints of cocoa. Light bodied with a round carbonation. The taste is bitter dark chocolate - think 70% + cacao, a bit of roastiness and a chalky aftertaste. Quite bitter and a bit acrid, possibly too much black patent malt? Overall it is OK.

On tap at the brewpub. It’s a soft opaque gold with a solid head of creamy looking foam. It’s cool drinking it with the a/c, peaceful Japanese music, quiet of the empty restaurant while enjoying the view of the big copper tanks. Served in a glass similar to a stange. Bready, sweet, lightly fruity, mild graininess. Quite an active round-to-sharp carbonation. Served too cold but today is beastly hot (35C or so?) so I don’t mind that much. The taste is a bit rough, initial bitter earthy hit, sweet light malts and some fruitiness. A crisp refreshing dry finish. I like it though it is pretty average, if I had this anywhere other than the brewpub it’d probably have a lower rating, set & setting...

Draught at Craft Beer Live 2014. Cloying, syrupy nose of burnt caramel. Sweet caramel flavor, a bit astringent in the malts and rough.
