Tap at Osaka Castle. Orange color, rather flat. Dry piny nose, grass, citrus. Nicely hopped, bitter and grassy with some biscuits and honey. Too flat though.

Nice lemony nose, natsumikan, light lactic acid. Good tartness, orange, salt. Crisp and tart, crackery malt, touch of vinegar. Very good, refreshing beer.

Tap at Osaka Castle. Butter nose of banana, orange. Flat dark orange-gold color. Sweet banana flavor, not much happening, and almost completely flat which did not help things.

Tap at Osaka Castle. Grassy, dry, hoppy nose leafy as hell. Fun and interesting. Flavor is sweet and citrus-leafy, grass. Weird and interesting but gets a bit hard to drink after a few sips. Interesting idea that could use a bit of refinement.

Tap at C&R. Crackery malts on the nose with a big dose of dry yeastiness. Light-bodied leaning to the malt side. Maybe some light lemon. Astringent bitter finish. Very pale cloudy color. A bit salty sour and low hop nose. Nice sour refreshing balanced. Light and souring. Pretty damn good take on goze. Impressive

Tap at Komachi, side by side with the Blue Magic. Crackery, dry malt nose with great citrus hops and a bit of biscuit. Dry and crisp flavor and body, great hops, citrus and herbs. Very nice and far better than the other.

Tap at Komachi. Pale gold, lots of bubbles, with a low, fine head. Citrus nose, bready malt, a bit of Alka Selzer. Flavor os sweet orange, minerals, a bit of candy. Too carbonated. Ok.

Tap at Komachi. Pale golden color with a low head. Citrus nose, light wheat, light acid. Light, lemony flavor, I sense a bit of salt but maybe it’s in my mind. Clean, light tartness. Moving in the right direction but comes off as a bit plain.

Ushitora & Kyoto Gose 4.4% 6 IBU On tap at CBB Bud. a cloudy very pale gold with a wisp of a white head. The aroma is tart wheaty lemon with some sourness. The taste is tart lime & grapefruit, wheat, soda bread and it has a pretty dry finish on the light body. A cut above the usual Ushitora brews. Nice enough stuff.
