Tap at Ushi-Tora tap takeover at CBM Koenji. Collaboration beer between Schooner Exact and Ushi-Tora. Lovely deep straw color with a nice fluffy white head. Big citrus aromas with grapefruit, iyokan and some slight resin standing out. Taste is more of the same with a pefect body. ABV is 4.5 but feels closer to whats in a 5.5%. Very refreshing and crisp flavors on the palate. Some grassiness as well. Awesome bitter finish. Fairly straightforward hefe, but not overly sweet, which is a mark up in my book. Good creamy mouthfeel. Nice finish. Tap at the Ushi-Tora tap takeover at CBM Koenji. Fairly clear golden color with a great soft soapy white head. Classic saison yeast aromas with some spice, white pepper and lemon zest. Taste is similar. Thin body and watery mouthfeel with almost zero carbonation. 50% of the reason I enjoy a good saison is missing. On tap at Ushi-Tora. Dark brown with a tiny tan head. Roasted malt aromas are strong with some light coffee and coriander notes as well. Taste is more of the same with the roasted malt flavor really standing out, also some light cacao and spicy hop notes on the palate. Roasty and bitter finish. On tap at Ushi-Tora. Clear amber with a small off-white head. Nice tropical fruit aromas with good piney resin flavors as well. Taste is very well-balanced. Tap at Bankan. Hazy gold with a nice white head. Malt aromas with some light tropical fruit and grassy notes. Taste is more of the same. Very well-balanced. Very pale golden color. Sharp nose with tons of grape character. The mouth is very sharp with acidity, fairly low hops and lots of grape character. Very drinkable

Very pale color. Nicely hopped light body very quaffable. Everything I want in a session ipa. I like it.

Dear Citra Ushitora 4% This is an insanely pale gold that looks champagne like with a decent head of foam. Are these guys trying to save money with all these ultra-thin bodied low ABV beers? It has a nice fruity citra hop bouquet. Actually the body on this one seems fuller than the 3.8% beer I had from them recently. The taste isn’t as solid as the aroma but it is still fairly satisfying: wheat crackers and hops. Pretty solid.
