On tap at Molto. It pours a deep brown-black with a tan head that leaves lacing that coats the rim of the glass. The aroma is quite nice sweet coffee & bready sweet buns. Like a relaxing coffee break snack. The carbonation is sharp rather than velvety which kind of ruins the coffee illusion, the mes-light body doesn’t help there either. The taste is a sweetened milk coffee, lightly chewy with a roasty bitterness & lactic acid sweetness in the finish. Good but if they boosted the body/mouthfeel it’d be great.

Tap at Komachi. Nose of coffee, cocoa, some cola. Mostly coffee. Sweet chocolate, coffee, cream flavor. A bit of mint/licorice too. A bit strange but interesting and pretty good. Light but smooth body. bitter, roasty finish.

Tap at Wiz. Pours a clear-ish golden orange with a two-finger white soapy head that lasts throughout. Wonderful Belgian-like yeast nose with some light pepper and pear along with a really solid citrus and tropical bouquet hop aromas. Lively carbonation and one of the best mouthfeel’s on an Ushi-Tora beer. Medium body, but feels light on the palate. Great citrus (very dry-hopped-like character with loads of citrus on the palate). Citrus lingers on the finish with a dry and peppery taste as well. One of the better beers Uetaka has made at Ushi-Tora. Really solid. --- Beer merged from original tick of #052 Tsukiyomi no Saison on 22 Nov 2015 at 16:33 - Score: 8

Sampler at Watering Hole. Pours a clear gold with a one-finger soapy white head. Light funk on the nose with some peach, plum and pear notes. Good saison yeast nose. Body is light with a slight tart, green character. Finish has some yeast a bit of tartness. Not bad. --- Beer merged from original tick of #045 Sour of Love -Yamamomo Saison- on 20 Nov 2015 at 19:30 - Score: 7

Sampler at Watering Hole. Pours a deep brown with a tiny beige head that dissipates almost instantly. Insane fresh espresso nose with light vanilla that explodes throughout the entire glass. Very, very similar to Ballast Point Victory at Sea nose-wise. Thin, watery body with soft to medium carbonation on the palate; more of a porter than a stout. Some light roasted malt and coffee, but nowhere near the nose. Kind of disappointing, but on the other hand better than expected. Nice effort. --- Beer merged from original tick of #058 Relax Time Coffee Stout on 20 Nov 2015 at 19:31 - Score: 7

Tap at Bungalow. Nose is biscuits, some caramel, marmalade. Nice biscuity malt but then very dry, slightly vegetal, and then and bitter. Not quite there yet.

Tap at Bungalow. Medium gold, hazy, with lace. This is a strange one, more a tripel than a Belgian IPA, Nose is grapefruit, cat piss, and a strange acidity. Flavor is very tart, sour actually, and very bitter with grapefruit from the hops. Tasting like it is half-way to a sour beer, but not all the way there, which suggests infection at some stage. Interesting concept but this one did not come out very well.

Tap at Komachi. Roasty nose, light citrus and grass. A bit of chocolate and coffee. Light body and flavor, a bit thin. Crisp and dry. Roasty but no big chocolate or rich malt. Ok hops. Nice enough but not special. Very thin and light.
