Tap at KBL. Shiny black with a medium off-white head. Nose is kind of sugary, with vanilla, milk, coconut, chocolate, and some dry coffee notes. Flavor is sweet and creamy. Not particularly Irish. More tropical, but with low abv. A bit too much vanilla and coconut notes for me.

Tap at KBL. A Fest Marzen lager that also includes rye. Interesting. Deep amber to medium brown, medium head. Nutty, toasty nose, rye spices, caramel, rich malt. Rich malt flavor but not very sweet. Nutty and toasty and nice rye presence. Full body. Good one.

From the can at KBL. Bright, clear amber color with a medium head. Sweet, heavy, estery nose, caramel, raisins, stone fruit. Hits a bit sweet but finishes dry. Dangerously drinkable. A bit too estery.

Tap at KBL. Almost black in color with a low, tan head. Very malty nose, fruity esters, some caramel, dark bread, lightly spicy hops. Rich and malty flavor with chocolate and caramel. Quite bitter in the finish, otherwise spicy Noble hops. Solid.

Tap at KBL tap room. Pitch black, tall off-white head. Big nose, lots of dark, dark chocolate, light coffee notes, tons of citrusy hops, orange mainly. semi-sweet flavor, a bit roasty, dark chocolate and light caramel, lovely citrus, and a very bitter, clean finish. Great.

Tap at KBL taproom. Pale to medium gold and slightly hazy. Big fruity hop nose, tropical fruit, citrus, pineapple and grapefruit, slightly dank. Flavor is sweet, clean malt, tropical and citrus fruits, resins. Smooth body. Nicely done.

Nice ruddy brown color with tan foam. Medium to full bodied with a very rauch smoked aroma and flavor. Great beer but the Kyobancha tea gets a bit lost in the shuffle.

Apparently, this is KBL’s Christmas beer this year.
KBL Festive Cherry Sour 6% 8 IBU
A reddish orange color with a nice tart cherry aroma. Medium bodied and silky smooth. Not complex but a nice enough cherry sour beer.
