KBL Ban Char Smoked Lager w Kyobancha

Nice ruddy brown color with tan foam. Medium to full bodied with a very rauch smoked aroma and flavor. Great beer but the Kyobancha tea gets a bit lost in the shuffle.

KBL Festive Cherry Sour 6% 8 IBU
A reddish orange color with a nice tart cherry aroma. Medium bodied and silky smooth. Not complex but a nice enough cherry sour beer.

dark cola black with ruby highlights and tan foam. The aroma is coffee and the. medium slightly scratchy body delivers sweet coffee with a bitter black coffee edge.

Tap at KBL. Hazy pale golden color. Dank and funky hop nose, grassy with citrus. Dry, crisp flavor, light malt, dank hops with grapefruit and tropical fruits. Very dry and crisp.

Tap at KBL. Orange-amber, slightly hazy, with a full head. Malty, toasty nose, nuts and some caramel. Lightly herbal hops. Nutty and toasty flavor, nicely bitter finish that is clean and dry.

Tap at KBL. Deep red-brown with a thick head. Nose is cherry, vinegar, vanilla, oak. Wood and sour flavor, some vinegar, cherry, not hugely sour but not sweet. Quite woody. nice one.

A hazed golden ipa with a thin creamy lacing white head. In aroma, sweet fruity biscuit malt with resinous floral hops, grapefruit pulp, light tropical fruits very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity biscuit malt with resinous floral hops, grapefruit pulp, light tropical fruits, pleasant and smooth. On tap at brewery.

A hazed reddish copper ale with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, sweet fruity ground cherry, light lactic notes, light Epsom salts, OK. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity mix of tart cherries, light grapeskins, light cork, Epsom salts ok.

Bottle split at CBJ tasting, thanks to Fergus, 27/11/24. Moderately hazed golden orange topped with a lasting off white head. Nose is mellow citric zest, herb, straw, grains. Taste comprises light smoked elements, lemon nip, balsa wood, damp straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Passable affair.
