Tap at Kyoto Beer Lab with a lovely copper gold color and a fruity/floral hop bouquet. The taste adds some earthy bitter elements to that and it’s a well balanced ale. Tasty post work brew. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at Kyoto Beer Lab. Amber-orange color with a low head. Clear. Nose of treacle, plums, raisins. Rather sweet, a bit syrupy, strong. Seems a bit young still. Heavy, full. Decent enough but needs something more distinctive going on.

Tap at Takumiya. Strawberry and vanilla in the nose, milky creamy, diacatyl buttery. Sweet and buttery vanilla and strawberry. Nothing IPA or beer about this. No hops. Undrinkable. It is just sweet and nasty, even without the diacetyl. I don't want to encourage this type of thing in Japan. Please go back to making beer.

A glowing orange-red with a dense beige head. Mild malty plum aroma. Full bodied and smooth. The taste is chewy malts, plums and a bit of a floral character as well. Pretty solid and it hides the 10% well.

Tap @ iBREW Shinbashi. Hazy orange pour, bit brownish. Some foam at first but comes down with no significant lacings. Nose has some yeast, sweet malty thing with some almost rotting tropical fruits. Sounds worse than it is. Light hop kick. Taste brings out harsh grainy body, not that smooth and hops feel edgy as well. Not bad but well, not really smooth either, quite edgy and malty heavy-bodied IPA. Goes down OK but was hoping for something different.

Tap at Takumi. Glowing golden orange with lace. Hazy. Wheaty nose, clove, banana, honey, spicy, but of strange funkiness. Lightly prickly, not much of pumpkin. Something here is not quite right with the brew.

Tap at Takanoya. Amber-orange, clear, with lace. toasty malt nose, some caramel, a bit of fruit. Great bready malt flavor, not sweet, some peach and orange, rich and malty with great balance. Body is just a bit too light.

Be Easy Tsugaru Oktoberfest 6.4% Tap at Craft Beer Man in Kyoto, it's been awhile since I had a beer here but I want to clear out the syrupy sweet Spring Valley White Night out of my mouth and I am curious to try Be Easy's Märzen. A clear red gold with a thin off-white head. The aroma is sweet but biscuity while the med-full beer gives roasty biscuit but some soft sweet caramel too. I really enjoyed the malt character. Nicely balanced and it hits the spot.

Tap at the Hanshin Event's Boku to Inu Booth, it's a collaboration between the Osaka Bar and the Aomori Brewery. Cloudy gold, white head and a stone fruit (peach) and white pepper aroma. Crisp and clean collab . Well worth trying.
