Tap at Takanoya. Amber-orange, clear, with lace. toasty malt nose, some caramel, a bit of fruit. Great bready malt flavor, not sweet, some peach and orange, rich and malty with great balance. Body is just a bit too light.

Be Easy Tsugaru Oktoberfest 6.4% Tap at Craft Beer Man in Kyoto, it's been awhile since I had a beer here but I want to clear out the syrupy sweet Spring Valley White Night out of my mouth and I am curious to try Be Easy's Märzen. A clear red gold with a thin off-white head. The aroma is sweet but biscuity while the med-full beer gives roasty biscuit but some soft sweet caramel too. I really enjoyed the malt character. Nicely balanced and it hits the spot.

Tap at the Hanshin Event's Boku to Inu Booth, it's a collaboration between the Osaka Bar and the Aomori Brewery. Cloudy gold, white head and a stone fruit (peach) and white pepper aroma. Crisp and clean collab . Well worth trying.

Tap at Komachi. Bright, clear, deep golden with a fine, thick head. Nose is light grass and citrus, light honey. Sweet honey malt flavor, orange, some esters and grass, 7-Up. Nice drinking but nothing about the hops really shines.

Tap at Craft Man Sendai. Clear gold with a low, fine head. Clean, crisp German hop nose. Herbs, citrus, crackers. A bit heavy and oily body makes me think it wasn’t lagered enough. but nice, crisp, herbal hops, peppery, good bitterness. For their first lager, pretty damn good. Not quite there, but close.

Tap. Pours bright yellow, foam that is leaving white lacings. Hazy, oh so hazy. Aroma is quite usual NE IPA nose, somewhat raw but in a soft way, lactic nose. Hops are not really shining there but some juiciness is recognisable. Taste is quite smooth, juicy and well, kind of like every other NE IPA recreation has been. Covering many relevant clicks but overall, I don’t know if I am just getting tired of the style or do they all really feel so similar - something is lacking. Not so clean juiciness as I have had from the best NE ones, not a bad example but well, could have been maybe a bit lighter and less malty?
