33cl bottle from some shop at Isetan Kyoto. Pour fairly clear golden with a modest, white head. Mild wheaty and slightly fruity aroma with some lightly yeasty notes and hints of citrus. Moderate sweet with a light acidity and rather mild flavours. Easy to drink and refreshing enough. --- Beer merged from original tick of Kyoto Craft Kaoru Karoyaka (京都 カオル かろやか) on 10 Apr 2016 at 18:00 - Score: 6

180 ml bottle from Isetan. Nose of rice grains, light estery fruits, peaches, orange, melon. Simple and clean. Oily, slightly dull. Sweet, creamy, rice, stewed fruits. Rather silky, full, medium heaviness. Decent enough stuff. Not surprising but well put together.

Served in a branded glass an amber gold with a foamy light beige head that leaves good lacing. The aroma is a bit nutty, somewhat malty with a bit of a tang to it. The taste is so-so, a bit of chewy malts, bitter, tangy, metallic and kind of sweet. Also much yeastier than the style warrants. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle 330ml (bought from Kyoto)
Dark amber color, small white head. Sour wild yeasty, fruity and cellary aroma. Light to medium bodied. Flavor is watery with light caramel and otherwise funky bretta. Infected if it is an altbier, boring if it is a sour ale.

Bottle 500ml (bought in Kyoto, sampled in Nagoya)
Dark opaque color, steady brownish head. Aroma has coffee, toasted maltyness and light vegetable notes. Light-bodied. Has kind of barnyardish touch. Coffeish, toasted, quite dry. Simple and feels even a bit less than 5%.
