Tap at Good Beer Faucets, Tokyo. Poured a slightly hazy golden colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is grainy malt, yeasty, fresh citrus fruits. The flavour is yeasty, light sweet, with a crisp, citrus, fresh, light fruity palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.

Tap at IBREW Ginza. Poured a clear golden colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is malt, light citrus, light floral hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a crisp, light toffee, fruity, light metallic, light dry floral hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Tap at IBREW Shimbashi. Poured a hazy golden colour with a light white head. The aroma is grainy malt, juicy citrus, light floral hop, The flavour is moderate sweet, light bitter, with a light, crisp, strawberry cheesecake, dry woody hop bitter palate.

Vertere x Another 8 collaboration Aries 8 Hazy IPA 5.1% Hazy pinkish gold with a juicy orange aroma. Medium bodied the taste is citrus rind with a bit of sweetness. On the low end ABV wise for an IPA with a prickly carbonation and dry finish which doesn’t match a hazy IPAs typically luscious body but it’s a tangy flavorful bit of juicy haze.

dark brown color. Sweetish not with tons of orange and chocolate. Much more of an orange porter than a stout, as it was labeled. The chocolate and orange blend well together. Nice without being outstanding

pale golden color. Fairly malty nose with just a touch of rye. Soft hoppy mouth with rye subtly playing in the background. Medium body. Very malty. Restrained. Focus is on malty backbone. Certainly well made but too restrained for my liking.

medium brown color. Medium brown head. Very dry nose with lots of baker’s powder. Amazing brownies and nuttty palate. Dry, modest roastiness. Low carbonation, medium full body. Extremely well put together. One of the best porters in japan.

super turbid, light golden white color. Very dry hoppy nose with lots of tropical fruit. Super juicy, low bitterness, low carbonation, super quaffable, light body, a touch of alpha acidity. Amazingly sessionable. Nails a NE session ipa.

slightly hazy deep golden. There isn’t much nose, but wow rustic, hay, slightly tart, solid grassiness, light-medium mouth with medium bitterness. Oats smooth the mouth a bit. Excellent take on a zwickle. Very authentic. I automatically felt I was back in Franconia. One of the best takes In japan by far.

Dirty brown color with pink tinge. I was sure this was the same beer as Stand By Me, which is the same ABV, sold at the same time and also used passionfruits, but this is noticably less tart, less balanced and less interesting.
