Tap at Oedo Beer Fest. Pitch black with a half finger of tan foam that lingers. Maple cured ham nose with chocolate notes as it warms. Chocolate on the palate with a nice smoky, chocolaty finish. Nice beer. --- Beer merged from original tick of Smoky Mountain High on 30 Apr 2016 at 17:18 - Score: 7. Original review text: Nice maple cured ham nose. Slightly boozy...some chocolate as it warms. I liked this pretty elk.

Tap at Oedo Beer Fest. Citrus-forward nose with hassaku and grapefruit notes. Well-balanced with biscuity malts and more citrus and a hint of peach maybe. A tad boozy but really smooth without much perceived bitterness. Best (by far) of the 3 incarnations of The Pale I’ve had so far. Nice juicy pale ale. --- Beer merged from original tick of The Pale By Minoh Kaori San on 30 Apr 2016 at 17:02 - Score: 7. Original review text: Really nice juicy pale ale. Lots of citrus.....feels a tad boozy though. Solid.

Tap at Bung, next to the Romantic Mura. Hazy pale orange-gold. Nose os sweet orange, some perfume. Flavor is sweet orange and other citrus, light biscuit, apricot, flowers. Sweeter than the Ushi Tora but still quite dry. Peppery bitter finish. A bit heavy, but decent over all. 2nd place out of the 4.

On tap at Devil Craft Hamamatsucho, Tokyo. Clear amber with a fairly small, off-white head. Fruity and fairly piney aroma, tropical fruits, some citrus and mild malty notes. Moderate to medium sweet with medium flavour intensity and bitterness. Well balanced, refreshing and tasty. Nice one!

Very cloudy dark brown color. Honestly not the best looking stout. Some cacao in the nose but lacks roastiness. The mouth has lots of cacao and lacks roastiness and is boring. Pretty mundane

Tap at Hamamatsucho. Deep orange with a light haze and a fine, low head. Big dry hop nose, grassy, herbal, citrus, rye. Great herbal hop flavor, rye, spices, orange. Lightly spritzy carbonation, oily body. Very nice. Best to far from them.
