Tap at Hamamatsu. Pretty golden color with a light haze. Low, thick head. Malty, creamy nose, possibly some wheat in there, light lemony hops, oranges, honey. Very creamy and smooth body, great malt flavor, lightly hoppy, with just enough bitterness. Very enjoyable. Who would imagine my favorite of theirs today would be a cream ale?

Tap at Hamamatsu. Dark brown with orange tints and a low head. The nose is cola, oranges, root beer, chocolate, vanilla. Tasty flavors of orange, vanilla, cola. Interesting. A bit too much like a soda for me to love, but still beery and fun.

Tap at Hamamatsu. Brown-orange, cloudy, with a low, fine head. Nose of root beer, oranges, caramel, chocolate. Nicely hoppy and earthy. Rich malt flavor, biscuits, caramel, earthy hops, spicy, citrus. Full, round body with big flavor. A well done hoppy amber.

On tap into a shaker with light to moderate filtration showing dark amber and no head. The nose shows moderately intense notes of tropical fruit - mango, grapefruit, and pineapple. The palate shows light to moderate carbonation and a light body. Same good intensity of tropical fruit on the palate with a very light malt finish. Very light bitterness on the end.

Tap at DC Hama. Pours a deep copper with a finger of head that lingers thoughout. Big piney, resinous notes with good ruby red grapefruit aromas. Average body with medium carbonation. Grapefruit and piney bitterness on the palate. Good bitter finish, but balanced well with the malt sweetness. Very enjoyable. --- Beer merged from original tick of Amberosia on 07 Jan 2016 at 21:05 - Score: 8

Tap at DC Hama. Deep brown to black with a nice toasted marshmallow beige head that lingers throughout. Roasted coffee and brownies on the nose with some light cacao nib notes. Creamy and rich on the palate with a lot of flavor matching the abv. Good dry and roasty finish with more toasted cacao nib. Solid. --- Beer merged from original tick of Portergeist on 07 Jan 2016 at 20:40 - Score: 7

Tap at DC Hama. Clear copper with a finger of off-white head. Lovely nose with pine and grapefruit notes, but also nice mango and passion fruit goodness. Some light caramel as it warms, but only a tad. Very hop-forward nose. Average carbonation with a medium body. Perfectly balanced, but leans a little to the hoppy side on the palate. Good bitterness, but the fruitiness and juiciness remains throughout the finish. Very solid beer. Almost as good as Modern Times Blazing World. Great job DC crew! --- Beer merged from original tick of Lusty Lady on 07 Jan 2016 at 20:39 - Score: 8. Original review text: Fantastic complex Amber brown hoppy chocolate hybrid!

Tap at DC Hama. Hazy brown with a small off-white head that dissipates fairly quickly. Light nutty aromas with lots of white grapefruit and pine notes. Feels heavy for the abv. Gets boozy as it warms. Feels unbalanced and kind of messy. I guess it wants to be a hoppy brown. Needs a little more work. --- Beer merged from original tick of The Devil In John's Brown on 07 Jan 2016 at 21:06 - Score: 7

Tap at DC Hama. Deep, dark brown to black with a finger of beige foam that lingers throughout. Lots of cacao and roasted coffee notes in the nose with some fudge as it warms. Medium body with average carbonation and tastes bigger than the abv and mouthfeel. Nice dry and lightly roasted finish but still has some light piney bitterness too. Very nice schwartz. --- Beer merged from original tick of Schwarz From Hell on 07 Jan 2016 at 21:05 - Score: 7

Tap at DC Hama. Clear gold with a finger of white foam that dissipates fairly quickly. Big citrus aromas with white grapefruit and orange standing out. Light body with a slightly watery mouthfeel. Fairly unbalanced and overly bitter brew. Dry, bitter pithiness on the finish. Least favorite of the night. --- Beer merged from original tick of C3PA Pale Ale on 07 Jan 2016 at 20:30 - Score: 6
