Nicest so far. But of spiciness, nice weirdness. Bit of malt sweetness. Enjoyable!

Deep golden color. Dry nose with the most tangerine forward Saison I’ve ever had with only slight funkiness in the background. Hop notes dominate over yeast in the nose so more like a Saison IPA. Kinda this orange pekoe tea note going on in the mouth, modestly bitter with some mintiness hitting the back of the throat. Dry finish where the yeast notes are a bit more pronounced. Hmmm. Not sure about this. Not bad but not my cup of tea - pun intended

Romantic Village (Tochigi) Rose Brut IPA 6.9% Orange-pink in color with a soda bread and seltzer stone fruit aroma. Light bodied and bone dry with decent fruitiness. Not terribly pink or hoppy. I feel Brut IPA is a style that shouldn’t linger too long... I’ve never been sold on it.

Tap at Bakuon. Romantic Village Fresh Hop Saison 4.7% Crystal clear gold with a wispy white head and a fruity watermelon aroma. Medium to light bodied, the flavor is full on watermelon rind which has me wondering what hop they used. Interesting and some kind of wheat/white pepper spice character.

Tap at Oedo fest. Aroma is tropical fruit, slight earthiness. Taste is peach! Spiky maltiness, lots of taste for strength. Grapefruit. Pretty nice.

Tap at Craftsman Sendai. Light citrus and grassy hops. Little bit of biscuity malt. Bit of pineapple and lemon. Easy drinking and good starter but maybe a little thin.

Tap at the Utsunomiya Beer Fest. Nice light citrus, grapefruit, bit grassy, malty too. Nice and quenching, maybe touch thin. Minerals and pineapple. Decent.

Tap at the fest. Interesting. Quite a lot of hop bitterness, tropical fruit, feels boozy. Aroma is mango, grapefruit too. Some earthiness. Nice.

Keyaki. Barrel version I believe. Aroma is whisky, light smoke, some sweetness, nice. Was a bit hammered at this stage.

Tap at Craft & Romance. Big lemony hop aroma, bit later more soapy washing up liquid lemon. Taste is good, lots of lemon obviously, touch of caramel maltiness. Nice.
