Tap at CBM Jimbocho. Hmm, smoked cheese. Not what I was expecting! Light berries in the aroma and strong herbal element, cloves too maybe. Smells like a US saison. Taste of smoked cheese is only the initial impression. Afterwards it becomes more grainy, but probably just wheaty. Finish is strawberry, cream and pepper. Not sure, bit of a mixed bag, but better than some other saisons I've had recently.

Tao at CBM Koenji. Initially though this was the same as their new saison but the taste was pretty different. Citrus smell, bit herbal too. Taste is light, refreshing, herbal, bit lacking someow. Lemon and lime. Squash type taste.

Keyaki part 2. Fresh, tastes like a forest, leafy, bit funky, Earth. Pretty nice. More malty after first sip. Really enjoyed this.

Keyaki part 2. Pine and a touch of lemon. Bit earthy. Nice. All of this set were pretty good, but maybe this was the least exciting. Lemon is just hanging in there. Would like to try this hop again.

Keyaki. Interesting. Lots of barrel, white wine, little funk. Only light booziness but it crept up as it warmed. Really interesting for a Japanese brewery to make this kind of beer.

CBM Awajicho. Aroma is nice, roast, chocolate, milky. Taste is interesting, feels rich, chocolate and roast again, milky in the background. Interesting. Got the off milk thing KL did, but I quite liked it!

Bottle at the Romantic Village. Amber coloured, small off-white head. Aroma is fruity, slightly floral, sweet, bit of plastic but not too off-putting. Taste is good, sweet, bit of booze, solid malty sweetness. Maybe the best of the day but not much competition.
