About
We started Carbon Brews in 2018. Since day one, we have been an employee’s-driven brewery that continues to push the boundaries with our innovative beers. Our goal is to use our creative brews to bring excitement to the Hong Kong beer drinkers which they can share with their friends. Our brewery is located in the city’s industrial area Fo Tan (“Tan” is the Cantonese character for “carbon”!) where all of our employees collaboratively develop and brew ground breaking recipes with our 30HL brewhouse.

330ml can at the Craft Bier Shop, Malacca, Malaysia. Poured a hazy golden orange colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is grainy malt, light orange citrus. The flavour is moderate bitter and sweet, with a crisp, fresh, malt, herbal, earthy, light tart orange citrus, light woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

330ml can at The Craft Bier Shop, Malacca, Malaysia. Poured a clear dark mahogany colour with a mostly lasting frothy off white head and some clingy lace. The aroma is roasted malts, light sweet toffee caramel. The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet, with a somewhat rich and smooth, roasty, liqourice, herbal, light floral woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation. Not your average black IPA, with more body, sweetness and carbonation. Nice.

Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation. Tasty and complex!

The flavour is moderate bitter, with a smooth, grainy, toffee caramel, woody hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation. An old skool English IPA for me!
