(Bottle) Pours clear deep brown with tiny short-lived tan head. Nice aroma of roast malt, chocolate. Medium body with good carbonation. Rich to start with nice bitter finish. It’s a good mix of dark roast flavours and subtle sweetness. Nice beer.

Tap at Beef & Liberty in Hong Kong airport at 9 in the morning. Fuck my life. Hazy dark golden with creamy off white head. Peach, sweet creamy caramel malts, light toffee, grassy and bitter herbs, a bit of grapefruit. Over medium sweet, bitter and bodied. Not too bad for a breakfast beer. It was a bit expensive though.

Tap @ CBM Kanda. Clear amber pour with just a little of foam. Malty grainy caramel nose. Light sour note there. Taste has more caramel, some dried pears and yellow plums, herbal bitterness. Not really balanced, kind of simple and well, really not great. Dry herbal bitter linger in the finish. I guess its trying to be a British take on iPA but not that good.
