Keg at BD Inverurie. It pours jet black with a sturdy beige head. The aroma is quite soft, bitter - sweet, dark roasted malt, chocolate cake, brownie, toasted pine, cookie dough and slightly charred grains. The taste is firm upfront, dry, bitter - sweet, dark roasted malt, toasty, charred accents, toasted pine, peppery spice, pithy, zesty citrus accents, cacao nibs and choc chip cookies with a dry toasty finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Nice balance to this. Alcohol is here, but well integrated.
