Pint at Chit Beer CNX. Poured a hazy golden colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is grainy, light tropical citrus. The flavour is moderate sweet and bitter, with a smooth, fresh, rich, juicy orange tangerine, tart grapefruit, creamy mineral, light dry hop bitter palate. Medium roasted bodied with average carbonation.

Il n'est pas forcément facile de trouver des bières artisanales en Thaïlande. Trouver une West Coast IPA fut donc une bonne surprise. Bière tout à fait honorable de surcroît. Le visuel est sur un blond orangé légèrement voilé avec une fine effervescence et une mousse blanc cassé de 5 mm. Le nez est peu développé avec une dominante herbacée et en arrière des arômes de pêche, agrumes, fruits exotiques et poivre. En bouche les arômes sont plus expressifs mais la dominante herbacée reste avec un houblonnage à cru qui a très certainement été trop poussé. La bière est légèrement acidulée avec un alcool à 5,7% incroyablement efficace. La corpulence est très correcte mais la longueur quelque peu limitée. Agréable.

Shortlived, but compact, medium, snowwhite head over bit hazy orange beer, well-carbonated. Bit of clove, orange, and also some wet dog smell. More clove, banana, again clearly orange. Definitely fruitjuice notes, but not outspoken estery as a real German Weizen would be. Background faintly rusted metal flavour, wet dog returning. Medium bodied, slight slickness, medium carbonation. OK, but rather pale version of Hefe. Txs to Joren & friends!
