Bottle - Sour cherry juice. Cloudy reddish with a decent white head. Sour cherry, juice like and a clean finish. Nothing wrong with it, just a little simple and juice like.

Light brown and cloudy. Not much head. This has a light aroma that seems thin, maybe a touch woody, but it offers little. Tart, cherry, and I like the cherry, but the base beer is thin, and lacks complexity. It’s a bit sharp, which works for the fruit, but I’m struggling to find value in the base beer here, and ultimately that makes this unsatisfying.

The floral nature of the hops jumps right out of the glass. It doesn’t really go with the chocolatey hops or anything, despite the fact that I like both elements. It’s medium brown, just a touch of haze. On the palate, the same ill effects show. Normally I love this style, but honestly the more tropical notes really just aren’t going with this chocolate. There’s no one element that doesn’t work but yet I just can’t get into this.

650mL bottle, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out lots of toasted malt and a little piney hops. Flavour is very thin and weak, with toasted malt, boiled vegetables and subdued hops. A very weak and underwhelming black IPA, with some unpleasant vegetal notes on the finish. No good.

650mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out lots of brine, with a touch of toasted malt. Flavour is quite briney, with lots of sugars, light toasted malt and dry cocoa. Very briney, dry and chocolatey on the finish. Not very convincing for the style.

Sweet dandy octopus label. (and cap). Medium brown. Aroma seems sweet, like fudge, milk chocolate sort of character. On the palate, really sweet. Too much so. Just some fudgey chocolate stuff. Like cloying and one-dimensional. Maybe it pairs with stuff, but I don’t like it otherwise.

Bottle. Hazy and pale. Has no head. Heavily yeasty, like footy, with a touch of lime character, I guess from hops? The body is quite light. The yeastiness is not as pronounced on the palate. It’s more refreshing than that. There is a bit of light spice, touch of esters. So it’s a fairly light beer - as expected - with subtle spicy elements.

650mL bottle, pours a hazy dull yellow blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of saison yeast upfront, followed by crackery malt, and a little funk. Flavour is along the same lines, with saison yeast and bone dry crackery malt. Just a touch of funk. Dry and easy to drink. Fairly true to style, but rather muted and lacking in oomph. Solid
