very pale golden color. Very carbonated, big frothy white head. Bone dry, light funky nose with good oak, and mild sourness. Funky yeasty notes, apple pie, tart, dry, modestly bitter. Excellent mix of gose and saison.

On tap at The Magnet, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma is bright, with lots of piney hops, some melon, resinous notes, and biscuity malt. Flavour is bright, with tropical melon notes, bitter piney hops, and biscuity malt. Piney and fruity with great balance. Excellent.

Poured from the tap. Hazy brownish yellow with small white head. Earthy with a bit of resin, seems a bit dirty and old, though it’s not.

2023-09-12, tasting at Ryan's, can, june 24, 2020, 7-4-8-3-16=38
Dark brown colour; like other stouts from Blindman, it's not very sweet, and so the barrel comes forward quite boozy.

Dark brown colour. Aroma of chocolate and spirit. Medium body strength, it has a level of sweetness that can be considered low, in this age; some cacao flavour, dark sugars, spirit, traces of bourbon, traces of dates. It's clean and balanced.
Very good.

355ml can. Pours an opaque dark brown, almost black with a small, creamy, short lived, tan head that laces. Sweet aroma of lightly roasted grainy malt, dark chocolate, bourbon, oak, raisin and vanilla. Sweet flavour of lightly roasted malt, dark chocolate, licorice, oak and vanilla in a dry, bourbon warming finish. Medium body with a smooth, oily texture and soft carbonation. Tasty and has nice complexity, but a little thin for the style.

Re-rate: Poured from 355mL can (side by side with Knob Creek and Elijah Craig variants; date stamped June 24, 2020). Dark brown with small beige head. Some ethanol booze on the nose, seems to have mellowed a bit, but still not a ton of depth. Least favourite of the three. Feb 25, 2022 (7/4/7/3/16=3.7): Poured from 355mL can (date stamped June 24, 2020). Black with small beige head. Bourbon, a fair bit of dark fruit (almost too much raisin?), touch of molasses. Decent, needs some refinement.

Bottle at Weathered 2022. Clear, dark mahogany brown with very minimal beige head. Raisin, dark fruit, touch of port, slightly cloying sweetness. Okay.

Purplish cherry colour, without head. On the nose, lots of cherry. Has a big cherry aroma. This is lactic, quite tart, and then it's got that big cherry character.

Can at share: pours near black with beige head. Aroma is typical chocolate and coffee. Taste is somewhat bitter, sweet. Plenty of traditional porter flavor. Solid.
