237mL can—loves these tiny cans!—pours a deep dark mahogany with almost no head. Nose is full of dark fruits, restrained alcohol, and toasted whiskey barrels. Flavour is full of rich dark dried fruits, moderate whiskey, lots of woody barrel, some spirit, and plenty of alcohol (without burning or any perfumey character). Complex, elegant and balanced, though perhaps a little shy of masterpiece territory. A tasty slow sipper.

473ml can. Pours a slightly hazy copper-amber with a small, creamy, short lived, off-white head that laces. Sweet aroma of toasted grainy malt, honey, oak and a hint of nuts. Sweet flavour of toasted grainy malt, honey, vanilla, oak and bitter grass in a crisp, dry finish. Medium body with a smooth, oily texture and soft carbonation. Malt-forward, tasty and nicely done.

500 ml bottle. Pours a dark brown with no head. Aromas of salted toffee, nougat, sugary raisins, soft toasted malts and a bit of booze. Flat flavors follow same with the booziness leaning towards sweet port or sherry

473ml can. Pours a clear amber with a small, creamy, long lasting, beige head that laces. Sweet aroma of bready rye malt, banana, earth and clove. Sweet flavour of toasted bready malt, rye, caramel, clove and a hint of nuts in a crisp, dry, tangy finish. Light to medium body with a smooth, oily texture and soft carbonation. Tasty and easy to drink. Very enjoyable.

473ml can. Pours clear like water with a green-yellow hue and a small, fizzy, short lived, white head that fully dissipates. Mild aroma of wheat malt, honey and lime. Sweet flavour of grainy wheat malt, honey, lime and salt in a dry, crisp, tart finish. Light body with a watery texture and average carbonation. Refreshing but not for me, too cocktail-like.

568ml can. Pours a clear brown with red hue and a medium, creamy, long lasting, tan head that laces. Mild aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, earth and weak coffee. Semi-sweet flavour of roasted malt, plum, dark chocolate and earth in a dry, mild bitter, day old coffee finish. Light body with a watery texture and soft carbonation. Clean and easy to drink, but a bit too thin and watered down for me.

237ml can. (aka L'il Ichy) Pours an opaque black with a small, creamy, short lived, tan head that leaves spotty lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, tobacco and dark chocolate. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, dark chocolate, caramel, licorice, tobacco and coffee in a dry, warming booze finish. Full body with a smooth, oily texture and soft carbonation. Very bold and in your face. A little aging would help smooth it out.

355ml can. Pours an opaque black with a small, creamy, short lived, light brown head that laces. Sweet aroma of bourbon, oak, vanilla, licorice, dark chocolate and lightly roasted malt. Sweet flavour of lightly roasted malt, anise, caramel, dark chocolate, oak, vanilla and tobacco in a dry, bourbon warming finish. Full body with a smooth, sticky texture and soft carbonation. Nice complexity. A great sipper.

Aroma of bready caramel malt, earthy yeast, grapefruit, mango, peach and weedy hops. Flavour of bready caramel malt, earthy yeast, grapefruit, orange peel, pineapple, peach, mango, pine resin, weedy hops and boozy heat in a dry, bitter finish. Medium body with a smooth, sticky texture and soft carbonation. Pretty tasty.

355 ml can. 11%. Pours a very dark brown with full head that settles quickly. Aromas of roasted malts, dusty chocolate, chalk, and a bit of dark fruit. Flavors show a lot of roasted malts, somewhat acidic and bitter, with some creamy coffee and vanilla notes thrown in, but not really adding balance. Some heat. Very bitter roasty finish
