Tasting at Fiery's Tasting Room
Pale blond, murky, no head. The aroma is moderately funky and fruity. Smooth, not too dry, with crisp malt base, lemony hints, touch of wine and of wood.
Very good.

Cloudy, quite pale. Fresh, fruity, pear, little bit of brett, Soft, sweet, with a touch of brett and a touch of wood. Again, the fruitiness is more pear than anything else, and the body has a touch of creaminess. Nice one - might like it more complex but it's nice.

Tasting at Oakes' Manor, can
Black colour, tan head. Lean, some chocolate, strong barrel here. Some oxidization feeling, but quite good.

Medium brown. Thin head. Fairly bourbony on the nose, with a fairly nutty component. Somewhat thin, light nuttiness, again a fairly prominent bourbon note. The treatment is fairly strong; would be better with a bigger body and more residual sugars - so imperial stout, basically.

500ml lambic bottle. Pours a hazy pale straw colour with a small, creamy, short lived, white head that leaves spotty lacing. Aroma of Brett, horse blanket, wheat malt, lemon, coriander and spice. Sweet flavour of wheat malt, lemon, white wine, funky yeast, coriander, spice and oak with a dry, tart Lacto finish. Medium body with a creamy, oily texture and soft carbonation. This was tasty and well crafted for the first beer to come out of their foeder program (hence the name).

355ml can. Pours an opaque black with a small, creamy, short lived, light brown head that leaves spotty lacing. Aroma of bourbon, oak, vanilla, dark chocolate and licorice with roasted malt hiding in the background. Sweet flavour of caramel malt, licorice, dark chocolate, prunes, vanilla, oak and roasted malt in a dry, bourbon warming finish. Full body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. A big boy impy, a great sipper.

Small can shared with Farees and Jamey. Pours a hazy purple with a weak rose head. Aroma is sour black and red currants. Similar taste with quite high carbonation. Interesting.
