For a kettle sour it's very well done. Medium tartness, quite hoppy on the nose but not bitter on the palate. Can from sobeys. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

355ml can. Pours a cloudy pale yellow with a medium, frothy, long lasting, white head that leaves curtains of lace. Sweet, floral aroma of lemon rind, mango, pineapple and yeast with biscuit malt in the background. Sweet flavour of wheat malt, lemon, lime, pineapple, mango and yeast with a dry, sour, lactic acid finish. Light body with a watery texture and soft carbonation. Very nice, refreshing and thirst quenching.

500ml bottle. Pours a hazy pale gold with a large, fluffy, long lasting, white head that leaves plenty of lace. Aroma of Belgian yeast, pale malt, lemon, orange and light peach. Sweet flavour of pale malt, yeast, orange, lemon, peach, apricot, pineapple and alcohol with a dry, bitter, spicy finish. Medium body with a smooth, oily texture and average carbonation. Very nice, easily their best offering to date.

22nd Feb 2017: 355ml can shared with Mat before the monthly tasting at Chez Sophie. Mat and I had traded with Duffman for some canadian beers, only two left now. I am not a ’sour puss’ fan, so this was a bit of a chore for me. Anyway the can gushed out on opening, once settled it looked murky, a dirty pale yellow in colour. Salty and sour from start to finish, not my thing at all. Mat was claiming he was picking up Pineapple and other fruity flavours, I could not, but he is a certified Beer sommelier and I just drink a lot! Scored objectively.

355ml can from trade with Duffman (many thanks!), shared @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie. Pours an unclear yellow, small white head. Aroma of fruity funk. Taste brings a salty, bristling lactic edge with fruity pineapple, grapefruit, lime, mango and peach fruit undercurrents. Crisp and refreshing. I also enjoyed seeing Jeremy Blackhaddock’s face screw up trying to force his way through this.

Medium brown. No head. On the nose it shows some thinnish malts, vague touch of brown sugar. Thin palate, again a touch of brown sugar/toffee, but not a whole lot else. Just vague, bland maltiness, without nearly enough sugar to carry this across. The herbal character is understated, which is only fine because they didn’t get enough sugars in there anyway. Just too muted all round.

473mL can, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out bready malt, light winter spiciness, and toasted dry caramel. Flavour is along the same lines, with a very English bready malt character upfront, followed by aggressive winter spices, and toasted dry caramel. There's some herbal, vegetal notes that are slightly off, but this isn't bad.
