Sampled at the brewery, pours a murky orange, creamy white head. Weird nose, orange pulp, weird pineapple maybe or... something else oddly tropical, some paint maybe. Flavor follows, persimmon is clear now, some booze actually. Finishes creamy, nearly full bodied. 6 4 6 3 11

Sample at the brewery, pours an opaque black, ring of off white head. Nose is heavy on molasses and licorice, brown sugar, some sweetened coffee. Flavor has some burnt licorice, a little kettle burn, some sour coffee. Finishes a bit thin. 7 3 6 3 12

Pint at Joe's Brew is a dark amber with some creamy tan head. Nose has malt, some tobacco leaf, some persimmon, some herbs. Flavor has malt, fruity tea, orange blossom, some mild spice, soggy bread. Finishes medium bodied with some bitterness. 7 4 7 4 13

Tap at Holy SMoke. slightly hazy golden brown color. Sweet nose fairly malty with some dirty odd sewage and fruit notes. Low medium bitterness. Nice body, well balanced. Super drinkable and more like over ripe fruits on palate. Nice alpha acidity and good bitterness. Loved it but not an outstanding beer.

very dirty brown color. Lots of crystal malt, fairly dirty, good bitterness, lots of potential but too amateurish. Lots of apples and crystal malt character.

slightly hazy light golden color. Unfermented wort, apricots and apples in the nose. A bit odd, but nice balanced palate, very refreshing. Really well balanced. Nice solid backbone. Really hitting the spot for Manila night.

medium dark brown color. Slightly sweet than expected nose with with licorice, dark chocolate and treckles. Low carbonation. Lots of licorice, coffee and dark chocolate notes. Not enough body and roastiness to support the beer but decent depth
