About
Jason Harris and Craig Basford decided they were going to do more than just brew the beers they’d been concocting in their man shed for years: they wanted to bring others along with them. So, more than a decade after they’d started making beer together in a rented farmer’s shed in the Barossa, when Big Shed Brewing Concern became a reality it came with an invitation to their peers: if you’re looking for somewhere to brew, we’ve got the space for you.

Taster at GABS Sydney 2015 (as Golden Stout Time). Black beer with tan head. Wonderful aroma and taste, really does taste like a Golden Gaytime. And yet it’s still a good stout. My favourite beer at GABS. I went back for a (much bigger) second glass.

From a 640ml bottle on 20/4/2015. Pours a cloudy lihtish golden with a medium head. Has a light fruity nose. Take a sip and it’s mainly sweet and sour citrus fruit (orange, lemon), stone fruit (peach, apricot) with some herbal notes and a hint of honey. Not a lot of malt in the mix. Finishes with a decent, slightly lingering hop kick. Has a fullish body and lively carbonation. Pretty tasty and rather enjoyable but perhaps a little subdued for a west coast style IPA. Like the copulating bears on the label.
