Pour dark brown, small fading head.Nose shows roasted malt and beady notes, with a faintest hint of orange peel.Flavors include more roasted malt, a more impressive amount of orange peel, some toasted malt and an astringent finish.Carbonation is a bit over the top.

(On tap) Pours black with shortlived tan head. Lovely intense nutty aroma with chocolate notes. Medium body with good full carbonation. Awesome taste - very nutty with plenty of dark chocolate. Very impressive.

Pale gold with a modest white head. Aroma of grainy crackers, grass, a little wood. Very light bodied. Really nothing there until moderate bitterness and a drying woodiness at the end which detracts from refreshment. I think this might have gone better with their Reserve Rd Draught as a starting point.

Can. Very dark brown with an inch of tan head. 3+ Aroma of deep roast, cream, coffee, chocolate brioche, some citrus flowers. Poured gloopily but after the aroma doesn't signal sweet, perhaps not that surprising it's only medium bodied. The palate is solid rather than thumping (a good thing for me) with firm roast, medium roasted coffee, a slight earthiness and cocoa rather than chocolate. Again, there's a light citrusy hop touch that's not very assertive but lightens things. A good one to drink fresh IMHO.

Can from Mccoppins Fitzroy. Hazy yellow. Smells like strawberry topping. Creamy mouth with some spritz. The strawbeery isn't as sweet in mouth, with welcome sourness. Bit too gimmicky for me to return.

'Can. Point of interest here seems to be the return of Melbourne ale yeast. Gold with a modest but dense white head. Aroma is fruity and slightly biscuity with oranges, nectarines, honeydew melon. There''s a little sweetness before a big swerve towards dry and a surprising touch of resin with the finishing bitterness. That almost brusque finish will make it a good hot weather beer. '

Can. Dark brown with a beige head that's soon less than a coat. Shyish aroma is unusual with grapes, bitter oranges, plums, chocolate, woody pineapple. Lightish bodied with lowish carbonation. Sour with a dry, somewhat bitter finish. Plums, roast (or tar or coffee?) stone fruit, spices creep up at the end. I quite like it but it's baffling.

[Brew Crew #5 by Tracey the office guru] Can. Clear yellow with a white head. Not all that much fruit in aroma - smells mostly like a Berliner Weisse - mild lacto funk, wheat crackers, some pongy tropical fruit. But the pineapple is much more obvious upon a taste. Crackers, laundry-like funk, very gentle sourness. Dry finish with some pineapple astringency.

Can. Translucent straw coloured with a white head. Aroma of oranges , crackers, silage. Taste is at first offensive enough that I didn't think I'd have a second sip. It's harshly bitter as though someone meant to put a little zest in something but got all the pith and then boiled it for hours. Dominated by this earthy/ silage/ harsh citrus. It's unpleasant and this beer is a big miss.
