From a 440ml can on 18/10/2019. Pours a cloudy golden with a small head which disappears almost immediately. The nose features dank fruit, zest and a touch of spice, with a vinous hint. On the sip, it's sweet up front with passion fruit and peach, with the bitterness delivering the promised wine notes from the Nelson Sauvin and a touch of grapefruit. Medium bodied with a slightly creamy mouthfeel, and moderate to average carbonation. A beautifully balanced, cohesive hazy. Excellent stuff.

From a 440ml can on 8/10/2019. Pours a murky straw/light golden with a medium head that disappears quickly. The nose is fairly typical double NEIPA - dank and fruity. Tastes mainly of tropical fruit - pineapple, passion fruit and mango, with the Nelson Sauvin really coming through at the back. Fullish bodied with moderate to average carbonation. This is the third big NEIPA by Quiet Deeds that I've had recently and is certainly the best (not that the others were bad). Exhibits a good deal of complexity, is nicely balanced, but most importantly, is bloody tasty. Great stuff.

From a 440ml can on 2/10/2019. Pours a murky light golden with a small to medium head. Has a fairly strong juicy big NEIPA nose. Fairly sweet and tropical up front - a sip brings you pineapple, mango, passionfruit, as well as some peach and apricot, but there are some pretty big, sharp, spicy hops which counter. This is one where the ABV is no surprise. The texture is quite creamy with the oats, the carbonation average. Has a few rough edges, but still pretty tasty, and packs a very big punch, even allowing for the style.

From a 440ml can on 4/9/2019. Pours a hazy light golden with a medium head. Has a quite a strong and unusual pineapple and citrus zest aroma. The list of ingredients on the can is long and it's fair to say that m ost of them come through. There's lots of pineapple and other tropical fruit sweetness, lime, cinnamon and even the pecans. Finishes with a sharp lemon lime bitterness. Has a slightly creamy palate and moderate carbonation. Very unusual, distinctive and interesting, but just falls short of really coming together.

Pours black with a fading pale tan head.Nose shows liquorice, roasted malt, sultanas and bready malt.Flavours include more roast, a bit of smoke, liquorice and cocoa followed by some sweetness in the finish.

Fom a 330ml can on 23/6/2019. Pours a light golden/almost straw colour with small head. Has a distictive nose of tropical fruit and, oddly, a touch of Belgian yeast. Taste wise, you get bready malt, some tropical fruit sweetness, followed by a pretty firm, sharp and dry bitterness. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Interesting enough and drinks reasonably well, but just doesn't quite come together for me.

Loads of passionfruit is the signature of this one, with pineapple and biscuit. The taste includes a lemony citrus flavour and a sharp bitter aftertaste. Maybe not my favourite NEIPA but not bad.

Schooner at Beer Deluxe, Melbourne. Cloudy amber beer with a thin white head. Nose is lightly sour fruit. Effervescent, fruity and refreshing. Finish is sour lemon drops. Really nice ale, good for the (weirdly) hot weather in Melbourne today.

Can. Packaged 15 days ago. Yellow, with some haze, and not much head. Pineapple and pine nose. Tingly mouth. Some stonefruit with lingering bitterness. Reasonably complex and a bit different.
