330ml can sampled during Aussie trip 2017-18. Pours lightly hazed orange golden amber with a white head. Malt dominates hops on the nose, citrus & a little pine. Taste is citrus, orange, grapefruit, piney hops. Medium bodied, light carb. Dry lingering bitter finish.

Can, 10C. Amber with an off white head. Aroma of biscuit, grilled oranges, spices, pine. Reminiscent of some Kooinda beers. Just medium bodied, carbonation is medium high and suits it well. Clean and not as sweet as expected. Citrus, pine and spices sit above the biscuity sweetness and the flavours complement each other pretty well. I like the way there was some point to the malt but it’s not too sweet and doesn’t get in the way of the hops.

Can, 11C. Dark brown with a beige head. 3+ Somewhat earthy aroma with mocha, bread, dark sugars, vanilla. Fairly light bodied with moderate carbonation. Some sticky bread crust sweetness but light roast, slightly astringent coffee and a decent whack of bitterness take over quickly. Nice quaffer.

Can. Bitter or golden ale, hard to say, so I’ll go with the name. Aroma is biscuity with apricot and lemon. Slightly earthy, slight stewed fruit. Lightish bodied, moderate to high carbonation. Tastes much as smells, with sherbety lemon and some floral notes. OKish, a bit of muddle.

Bottle (Wine Republic, Windsor). Hazy deep gold with a white head. Vibrant aroma with grapefruit and passionfruit, some toast and a little pine. Moderate carbonation, slightly creamy. Not all that sweet but there’s a little mandarin as well as grapefruit. Clean so the slight pine and moderate bitterness come through nicely at the end. Good, fresh. If it’s the same next time I find it, it’ll be a regular.

Bottle. Just hazy pale gold with an inch of white head. Aroma of blood oranges, spicy wheat, crackers. Sweet with oranges and citrusy hops; mild pepper and coriander are still enough to overshadow bitterness at the end. Slight boiled lolly. A pleasant quaffer that will go better in summer.
