Can. Very deep bronze with a small beige head that's soon at the rim. 3+ Aroma of oak, singed dark sugars, biscuit. Lighter bodied than expected and quite smoky for some reason. Toffee and biscuit before moderate bitterness. Tasty if confused.

Can. Clear amber with a 2cm white head that fades fairly quickly. Aroma of guava, peach, blackcurrant lollies, grass. Fruity but with that boiled lolly feel a big part of it. Bittersweet at first but the sweetness gradually swamps the bitterness.

Can (Wine Republic). Pretty much black with a tan head that settles to a dense tan coat. Breezy aroma of caramel, roast, iodine, some mocha. Smooth texture. Moderately sweet with caramel, mocha, roast, hints of dark berries. The finish is briny with modest bitterness (I would have liked a little more). Pretty good but I was left wanting something less well-mannered.

Can. Not far off black with a small tan head. Aroma of heavy roast, coffee, some anise. A fair bit of body and just a little sweetness before slightly ashy roast and a dry bitter finish. Gutsy for just 5.5%. Good.

Can. Opaque brownish orange with a 3/2 cm white head. Aroma of grapefruit, chewed crackers, Asian pineapple. Dryish and quite bitter as well as a little astringent - I like the finish but it snaps a little hard for any juiciness to have much time to show.

Can. Pale gold with an inch of white head that lasts OK. 3+ Aroma of grass, gooseberry, white grapes, crackers. The malt has a little more of a toasty side to it than guessed but it's fairly lean and very clean. Rippling Kiwi hop aromatics, medium high bitterness. Just my sort of thing.

Can. Clear gold with a white head. Aroma of lemon, mandarin, light biscuit, some herbal notes. Light bodied with moderate carbonation. Dryish with firm crackery malt and citrus flavours that are integrated rather than pop out of the top. Crisp finish. Reminds me a bit English Citra golden ales from a while back (which were good). Good.

Can. Clear amber with a white head. Aroma of pine, caramel, breadcrust, some mango skin, vague citrus. Quite malty but not too sweet with resin and tenor register citrus oozing through to the medium-high bitter finish. Solid but not very eventful.
