Can. Almost clear gold, white head. Aroma of white grapes, grass, crackers. Yes, smooth pale malt then punchy fruit that's a little herbal in tone, snappy bitterness. Pretty good, very refreshing. Not totally unKölsch-like.

Can. Very dark brown, 2cm light tan head that doesn't last all that well. Lots of freshly roasted coffee in the aroma, some biscuit, citrus. I don't sweeten iced coffee (milk adds enough sweetness) and this is not too sweet for me. The coffee is less dominant in the taste and is punchy but quite fruity with citrus notes coming to the fore towards the moderately bitter end. Subtle and harmonious.

Can. Dramatic dark red with a good cm of beige head. A wafty top note of grapefruit drifts over the top of stewed fruit, dark sugars and bread. Less sweet than guessed with tropical and peppery notes joining the grapefruit at a pointed bitter end. As ever, the hoppy amber is hard to pull off but it's good when it works.

Can. Pale gold with an inch of white head that fades. Gentle hay, citrus peel and honeydew melon aroma. Dryish with snappy citrus- accented bitterness. Some tropical fruit and minerals. Refreshing.

Can. Black, a light tan head is very soon completely gone. 3- Inky and earthy mocha aroma with sweet cherries. Creamy in both texture and taste (but not so much you can taste the lactose). The cherries don't seem so plainly sweet and sit well with the mocha. Just enough bitterness for a finish. Fair enough.

Can. Clear red with a good cm of beige head. 3+ Biscuity aroma with caramel & ruby grapefruit. 7+ Some plum and floral notes as the hop aromatics evade the malty sweetness neatly. Finish is moderately bitter with hints of spices. Perhaps a little strong for what it offers, but tasty.

Can. Clear gold with a modest white head. Aroma of tropical fruit jellies - feijoa, papaya, Asian pineapple - oranges. A richer malt presence that suggested by the aroma with sweet tropical and citrus notes emerging from soft bread before moderate bitterness. Some pine needles at the end. I would have liked a bit more bitterness but it's good.

Surely if Cold Black IPA is to be a thing this should be called The Dark Underlord. Can. Pretty much black with a cm of beige head. Aroma of somewhat earthy coffee, Meyer lemon, caramel. Pretty light bodied. Really lacks a bit of support in the middle. Nectarine as well as coffee before a modestly bitter finish.
