From a 375ml can on 15/7/2025. Pours a deep brown with a small to medium light tan head. The nose feature a good whiff of coffee with some light roasty notes. Coffee also dominates the taste, with dark chocolate, a bit of caramel and perhaps just a hint of the promised donut. Finishes with a light roasty bitterness. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Not super dessertish, but very nicely balanced and pretty assertive for the size. Good stuff.

Missed the event but caught a few of the beers (although CTRL not among them) Can. Fairly pale gold with a brief white head. Aroma of citrus, soft tropical fruit, crackers. The softness does not continue through to the palate - it's clean and a little harsh with bitter and somewhat astringent herbal notes.

6/11/2022. Can from Bo Gurks, Edithvale, VIC enjoyed at Rydges On The Rock, NSW. TAS rating #10. Pours black with a frothy beige coloured head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, roasted malt, vanilla, dried and dark fruits. Medium coffee sweetness with moderate roasted bitterness. Medium body, smooth, average carbonation. Coffee, fruity, developing bitter finish. Nicely done.

Can. Opaque brownish orange with a modest white head. Aroma of peach, barely ripe tropical fruit (mango, pineapple), herbs. Fruity and a tad chalky initially then it kind of sags with just a little herbal and lawn clipping astringency as it departs.

(Can) Pours clear coppery brown with little head. Pleasant citrus and toffee aroma. Light body and somewhat fizzy carbonation. Nicely balanced taste with tangy fruit and caramel and some pleasant hoppy bitterness in finish. Very drinkable

Can. Clear amber with a small white head. Aroma of pine, spices, grilled grapefruit, biscuit. So it tastes. Fairly sweet with lots of pine creeping out of caramel and biscuit before a finish that's not dry but is firmly bitter. Is what it promises.

Can, date illegible. Yes, dirty copper with a small beige head. Aroma of breadcrust, some stewed fruit, oranges, pine. Thinnish. Not really sweet at all with breadcrust and a dry bitter finish. OK, but I wonder whether this is past it.

(Can) Pours black with short-lived brown head. Great aroma - notes of coffee, chocolate and hints of raisins. Medium body with great carbonation. Great taste, like aroma, with coffee, chocolate notes and hints of raisins. Some good bitterness in finish.

Can. Amber with a white head. Peachy aroma with light biscuit and some pineapple. Light bodied. Enough biscuity malt but not very sweet so the fruit and modest bitterness come through. A little spicy at the end too. Pretty good, particularly as it's only a week in date.
