Tap at Catfish, Melbourne. Poured a clear dark brown with a long-lasting thin tan head and some clingy lace. The aroma is roasty malt, like creamy caramel sugar, dry coffee and dark chocolate. The flavour is moderate sweet, liqourice bitter with a smooth, smoky roast, big liquorice hop, light alcohol bitter palate. Medium to full bodied with flat carbonation.

On tap at the Gertrude Hotel, pours a cloudy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out some resinous hops, candied sugar and some stone fruits. Flavour is decently integrated, with piney and resinous hop, some stone fruits and light residual sweetness. Not overly well-integrated but it's reasonably done. Fairly mild for an IPA. Solid.
