Tap at the HCMC brewpub. Poured a hazy straw colour with a frothy white head and some broken lace. The aroma is yeast, banana. The flavour is acid citrus with a light crispy, light buttery creamy yeast, light citrus, mineral palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Tap at the HCMC brewpub. Poured a hazy light amber with a thin broken white head and some broken lace. The aroma is malt, sweet tropical fruit hop. The flavour is moderate to strong bitter with a smooth crisp, orange citrus fruit, light pepper spice palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Fresh, fruity and nicely balanced.

Tap at the HCMC brewpub. Poured a clear yellow colour with a thin white head and some clingy lace. The aroma is yeast, crushed banana. The flavour is yeast acid citrus with a crisp light watery fruit, grainy malt, light hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation.

Tap at the Ho Chi Minh brewpub. Poured a hazy dark brown with a thin broken off white head. The aroma is sweet roasted malts, butter fudge, caramel. The flavour is moderate sweet with a smooth rich buttery popcorn palate and a spicy chilli kick in the finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Nicely balanced. The level of chilli spice was just right and the smooth rich sweet build up was quite unique.

The flavour is moderate sweet light bitter with a rich, warm, fruity, light floral hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Somewhat unusual but highly drinkable. One of the best beers I’ve enjoyed from HoD.
