Description
SingleCut Beersmiths was founded by Queens/NYC born, music-obsessed brewer Rich Buceta, whose life-long passions led to a place where hops and vinyl could shine side by side. After years of homebrewing and professional stints around NYC, Rich was true to his dream, diving headfirst into the brewing world. “My obsession is creating original hop-driven beer; distinguished by a firm respect and admiration for West Coast pioneers, and bending that to our East Coast / NYC interpretation.” Since opening in 2012, and with the help of an equally talented and devoted team, SingleCut has gained a loyal following throughout the East-Coast’s most respected markets. With his steadfast determination for the perfect pint, Rich penned "Mastery Knows No Shortcut" as the SingleCut mission statement. “It boils down to always demanding greatness, never compromising, and always play it at maximum volume.”

Can at Wodan tasting. A bit hazy pale yellow, average sized white head. Aroma and flavor are malts, hops, lightly green hops, a bit old and dusty. Decent to medium body and carbonation.

16 oz rated on paper up the river last Saturday. Aroma has notes of cantaloupe, peach, orange, fake Chinese rubber plants. Pours murky brownish-orange with a one finger bone-white head with good retention. Taste has a light bitterness, moderate sweetness; pretty boozy. Overall, it's so nothing special, but it ain't bad. Gravity always wins.

Hazy yellow pour with a medium white head that dissipates steadily. Short strings of lace. Citrus, pineapple and hops in the nose. Medium body with flavors of citrusy hops, pineapple and bready malt. The finish is fruity with a citrus and hop aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

473ml can @ Chez Sophie. Hazy yellow appearance, good white head. Crisp, nicely balanced, not overly sweet or smooth, just a great fruity quencher with a measured hop character. Great stuff.

Can from Tavour to Imperial pint glass. Aroma is tropical fruit and very grassy with overt resins. Pours a cloudy dark yellow with big, white head that sustains throughout. Flavors of exotic fruit, with moderate earthy, grass undertones. Astringent and sticky finish. As it warmed, more of the fruit really came out in the flavor.

Can, 0.473l. Aroma of passion fruit, citrus, resin and biscuit. Pours hazy golden color with large soapy white head and sparkling appearance. Taste starts juicy tropical fruity and citrusy, following is resinous and herbal, mouthfeel is smooth, while finish is moderate bitter. Medium body, creamy texture and soft carbonation in palate.
