Cask at Volley Bristol. It pours clear golden with a small white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, oily, tangerine, apricot and oiliness. The taste is dry, bitter, oily, tangerine, orange, pithy, soapy, oily, toffee, apricot and tannin with a drying finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Fine enough.

Cask at the Volunteer - Bristol. Pours clear orange-gold with a creamy, pure white head. Pale bread in the nose, orange rind. Light-medium sweet flavour with more bready pale malts, mild rindy bitterness, hay, tangerine. Light bodied with fine carbonation; alright condition. More pale bread in the finish, tangerine, straw. Not bad.

Dan's Stag. Volunteer. Bristol. Cask. Clear gold beer,.good white head. Palate is smooth and fairly dry and a little soft. Modest fine carbonation. Smooth dry malts, little cream. Mild esters. Mild orangy citrus. Dry finish. All right.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - opaque black, lovely fawn head. Nose - light smoke, blackcurrant, dark chocolate. Taste - more dark fruits, probably plums or even prunes this time. Charcoal and general smoke at the back. Palate - medium bodied, creamy and smoky texture through the middle section. Elegant finish. Overall - good gear!

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours black with a thin tan head. Aromas of blackcurrant and liquorice, coffee. Taste is dark chocolate and coffee. Prunes. Sweet finish.

Cask-conditioned at the Beer Emporium, Bristol 14/2/2017. Deep gold in colour, with a tight, off-white, head. Leafy hops, some stone fruits, biscuity malts and a moderately bitter finish. Good.
