Draft at Outback in Charlotte for work. Pours a clear straw gold with a finger of white foam that lingers. Big tropical forward nose with mango, pineapple and grapefruit dominating. Malt is definitely in the background. Smooth, good crisp carbonation with lingering pine, citrus pith and crackery malt on the finish. Very nice IPA and super crushable. --- Beer merged from original tick of Mountain Candy® IPA on 25 Sep 2019 at 21:12 - Score: 8

3 month old pint can A: Pours clear medium gold with little visible carbonation, head or lace. S: Orange and zest along with earth, leaves and a little wood. T: Some tart citrus notes of orange and lime with some toast following and both present to finish. M: Light to medium weight. Slightly undercarbonated butcould be one bad can. Clean tart finish. O: Pretty good overall though neither outstanding, cheap nor easy to find fresh.

Hazy yellow color with lasting white foam. Intense aroma of grapefruit, pineapple, and evergreen. Taste is surprisingly sweet to start with medium hop bitterness that fades quickly. Easy drinking.

3 week old pint can A: Pours deep clear amber orange with 1" of thick yellow/beige head, retaining very well and leaving patchy lace. S: Fresh and sweet with tangerine and caramel. T: Bitter and slightly sweet at once with orange, orange zest, light toffee and a sour woody note to finish. Great balance. Fortunately not too English-y. M: Light medium weight with average carbonation level and oily finish. O: Nice surprise, a very tasty light IPA that I will buy again.
