Tap. Big and black. Smell is scintillating perfumy soothing impy stout aromas. Taste is straight up on style with a smoothness that must be experienced. Yes, that smoothness makes it a little different than most rude impy stout. Don’t get me wrong, the imp stout style itself is freaken rude. However, this brew possesses a civility that can overcome most nasty imp stout attributes. Smoother creamy palate and palate effects.

Sampled on draft at the Headkeeper this beer poured a black color with a medium sized creamy dark brown head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was somewhat faint but malty and toasty with a cocoa note. The flavor was dryish with chocolate syrup, dark chocolate, vanilla cream, anise and bitter floral hops. Very long finish of chocolate and hops. Thick and creamy body. Very nice.

First let me say this is not an ipa, its an apa in disguise. Rather muted ipa perfumy aroma. Thin creamy head. Nice lacing fer sure. starts off fruity then becomes a little more bitter, but let me tell you, this is not ipa. Its just a fresh somewhat fruity pale ale that is easy to take and easy to get along with. Not bad! ---and I don’t like ipa!

Tap bocktown. Oh yes, this is much better than I wazs expecting. Slight vinegar on apple aroma. Light yellow in color. Very mild apple flavors. Easy going. A little ice cider wax in there too. Pretty good. Not real sweet yet not real dry, good overall balance in the apple cider domain. Yes, glad I come across this one.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this cider poured a pale golden for with a small soapy white head that left no lacing. The aroma was sweet apple with a touch of cranberry and sugar. The flavor was tart and tangy apple with noticeable cranberry. Long tart apple and cranberry finish. Moderately full bodied and almost syrupy. Interesting.

A golden ale with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, nice biscuit malt with smooth floral hops, citrus pulp, light mineral notes, nice and smooth. In mouth, a nice sweet biscuit malt with grassy floral hops, light grapefruit notes, well done. On tap at Chickie & Pete’s PHL.
