Description
Definitive Brewing was formed in 2017 when we came across lightning in a (beer) bottle. After months of planning, we were introduced to our now Director of Brewing Operations, and found an ideal location, all in a single week. Our investment group is made up of friends and family all with ties to Lake Cobbosseecontee in Manchester, ME. After 6 months of tireless efforts to transform an old scaffolding company into a production brewery and tasting room, we opened May 19, 2018 on the legendary Industrial Way.
After two years of operation in Portland, our team chose to open a second tasting room on May 22nd, 2020 in Maine's southernmost town, Kittery in the heart of the shopping district. Kittery is pillar in Maine's food and beverage scene, and the opportunity to become part of this phenomenal town was one that we could not pass up.
At Definitive Brewing we strive to provide a memorable tasting room experience for all of our customers. This is culminated by our wide variety of beers, including our Kolsch (Contee), Session Ales, IPAs, Stouts and Sours! Thank you for your continued support, and we hope to see you soon!

Can shared by CLW--thanks, Chris, at "No two styles alike tasting." Cloudy red with ring of head, trace lacing. Aroma is strong chocolate, raspberry, vanilla, tart fruit. Taste is strong sweet raspberry, vanilla, tart fruit, late chocolate crumble. Smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Within the sour style, delivers a ton of red velvet cake.

Pours a hazy, gold-pineapple, with smallish head. Aroma is citrus and tropical fruit, with some pine, grass. Flavors follow. Mouthfeel is fairly clean and crisp, rather than smooth/soft. Moderate hop bitterness in the finish. Kind of a hazy IPA with west coast IPA flavors...

Aromas are multi-sweet with wet grain and a bit floral. Flavors are similar to nose, a touch more sweet than traditional with okay bitterness and carbonation. Drink a little bit nothing special.

Can pour shared by CLW--thanks, Chris! Opaque dark brown, ring of head, spotty lacing. Aroma is strong peanut butter cups. Taste is strong peanuts --a bit to the burnt, roasty side. Smooth texture, soft carbonation, finish as taste. Smells wonderful, taste isn't as nice as aroma.

16 oz can. Aroma has a bolder amount of peanut butter and chocolate. The flavor is really smooth with peanut butter and soft milk chocolate in a smooth / creamy texture. Really nice flavor.

Panda thanks to Wingers. Near clear paleish gold beer, good bubbly white head. Light palate, semi dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Light pale malts, a nice light nutty sweetness, thin creamy sweetness. Mellow lager tang in the mid. Mild pine into modest floral citrus. Semi dry finish. Clean and drinkable lager. A little less attenuation and a deal more noble hop bite please..

Panda thanks to Wingers. A mild to medium haze on this orange gold beer, small and short lived bubbly pale cream colour head. Light palate, semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Slightly grainy pale malts, sweet enough. Cooling pine over a pleasing conglomeration of bright fresh orangey hop and a touches of fresh orange peel and marmalade. Trace amounts of tangerine and mandarin. A semi dry finish. Good show, could do with a tad less grain but overall this is a winner.

From tap at BeerTemple, Amsterdam. Sweetish and tropical with candied orange, bubble gum, dextrose, tropical fruits, some mango. Bit too sweet with a moderate to medium bitterness. Medium body. Bit of a ripe fruit sweetish IPA, okay but could be better.
