16 oz. can. Roast shows a nice bolder character. Some chocolate and mild char. shows a underlying dark fruit character in the middle of the sip. Good amount of flavor for the 6.3%. It’s nice!

50cl bottle I bought in Littleton NH, pours a murky brown with a ring of off white head. Nose is caramel and malt and raisin, some butterscotch. Flavor is sweet, raisins, dates, butterscotch, port, caramel. Finishes sweet, some boozy heat. The body is a bit thin.

500 ml bottle. Aroma is weak bourbon underneath maple sugar and mild smoke. The flavor shows the maple, smoke, and whiskey hint in the finish. Alcohol is hidden but for me the flavor isn’t as good as the rum barrel version. Enjoyed the rum with this base beer much more.

500 ml bottle. Aroma is is maple, sugar, oak. Reminds me of maple candy. Flavor has all the elements with toffee, maple, and a soft rum finish. Maybe a little bit of smoke. ABV is hidden.

Tobacco and some bitter herbs. Mahogany pour with decent head and lacing. Some plum and some hint of vanilla. A little oak. Light bittersweet finish. I like this better than many barley wines because it's a little more subtle in flavours. Bottle.

On tap at River Road Tavern Pours a cloudy grapefruit pink with a thin head that dissipates quickly. Lemon tart with light bits of non de script fruit and light bready maltiness.

5 ounce draft. Cloudy pink in color. Aroma is yogurt and raspberry. Flavor is tart berry, soft coriander and lactic acid. Spot on what it should be.

16 oz. can. Aroma and flavor are old school. Pine, herb, and grapefruit like citrus. Soft Caramell malt to balance the hops. It’s exactly as they say it is. A throwback brew from 2009, well crafted but to me it is boring.

Can from the Packie. Mostly clear light gold in color with a small bubbly white head. Lemony light honey and earth with faint floral hops. Firm hop bitterness offset with a lively carbonation. Nice easy drinking beer.

16 oz can. Aroma does show typical toffee, baked bread, and earth of the style. Flavor has the bready malt backbone with toasted grain, caramel and weak earthy notes. Overall is exactly what you would find in the style. A standard issue Märzen.
