From tap. Pours hazy deep brown with a small tan head. Aroma is toasted malty, slight breadish and caramelish. Roasted, overripe fruity and slight caramlelish. Toasted and slight breadish malty finish.

Bottle from skippys 40th birthday. Pours golden with a large white head. Light floral grasses aroma. Flavornis crisp bitter grasses, light citrusy notes. This isn’t great but it’s not bad.

16 oz can from Half Time. Clear golden, foamy white head. Fairly bright aroma, grass, herbal hops, rice, lemon, and a bit of spice. Dry, grassy flavor. Good, but not outstanding mouthfeel. A pretty tasty pils, but not a top of style palate, we rich is really what I’m looking for from a great pils.

Bottle at home in Hackney - sourced from VT. Pours crystal clear yellow, lightly effervescent, with a creamy, white head. Crisp pale biscuits in the nose, light cereal, hay, white bread. Light sweet flavour, more fresh biscuits, straw, low bitterness. Light bodied with average carbonation. Well balanced finish, with fine husky and grassy bitterness, more hay, biscuits, pizza crust. Quite excellent overall.

Poured into a lager glass, the appearance was a ruddy burnt amber fairly close to brown color with a slight transparency about it. Two finger white foamy head sustained for a good little bit and gently subsided leaving some light semi-ring-like foamy lace.
The aroma had sweet to oven roasted tones of caramel, toffee, earth, grassiness, butterscotch, lager yeasty smooth sweetness, toast, some nuts and some light cereal grains.
The flavor blended the malty tones to the grassy and earthy tones in a dried sweet manner. Lingering bready/malty qualities follow through in the aftertaste to ride on into the finish.
The feel was almost medium bodied, seemed like it sat just a tad underneath. Lightly carbonated, this one felt pretty close to the projected ABV.
Overall, really nice bock that is nice to drink this time of year, especially when we’re having this cold Spring that we seem to be having.
